The Virginia Cooperative Extension Service is hereby authorized to make contributions into the Federal Employees’ Retirement System for the benefit of its employees who hold federal governmental appointments and who elect to participate in the system. No employee who is an active member of the Federal Employees’ Retirement System shall also be an active member or beneficiary other than a contingent annuitant of the retirement system or any retirement plan authorized by this chapter or administered by the Board.
Terms Used In Virginia Code 51.1-127
- Board: means the Board of Trustees of the Virginia Retirement System. See Virginia Code 51.1-124.3
- Employee: means any teacher, state employee, officer, or employee of a locality participating in the Retirement System. See Virginia Code 51.1-124.3
- Member: means any person included in the membership of the Retirement System. See Virginia Code 51.1-124.3
- Retirement System: means the Virginia Retirement System. See Virginia Code 51.1-124.3
- Service: means service as an employee. See Virginia Code 51.1-124.3
