- Department: means the Department of Conservation and Recreation. See Virginia Code 62.1-44.122
- Perennial stream: means a body of water depicted as perennial on the most recent U. See Virginia Code 62.1-44.122
- Person: includes any individual, corporation, partnership, association, cooperative, limited liability company, trust, joint venture, government, political subdivision, or any other legal or commercial entity and any successor, representative, agent, agency, or instrumentality thereof. See Virginia Code 1-230
- Stream exclusion practice: means protection of a body of water by fencing, including temporary fencing, or another physical means sufficient to exclude livestock from such body of water. See Virginia Code 62.1-44.122
