(1) A person may not:

- Department: means the department of agriculture. See Washington Code 15.04.010
- person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
(a) Cause or intend to cause adulteration of food in intrastate commerce;
(b) Sell, process, or store adulterated food in intrastate commerce; or
(c) Receive for the purpose of sale in intrastate commerce food known to be adulterated.
(2) Food is adulterated if it is adulterated within the meaning of 21 U.S.C. § 342, or is adulterated in accordance with department rules.
