No person operating a railroad may permit to be deposited by any employee, and no one may deposit fire or live coals, upon the right-of-way within one-fourth of one mile of any forest material, during the closed season, unless the fire or live coals are immediately extinguished.

Terms Used In Washington Code 76.04.435

  • Closed season: means the period between April 15th and October 15th, unless the department designates different dates because of prevailing fire weather conditions. See Washington Code 76.04.005
  • Forest material: means forest slash, chips, timber, standing or down, or other vegetation. See Washington Code 76.04.005
  • person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
