Terms Used In West Virginia Code > Chapter 22A > Article 4 - Open-Pit Mines, Cement Manufacturing Plants and Underground Limestone and Sandstone Mines
- Clay: means a natural material of mostly small fragments of hydrous aluminum silicates and possessing plastic properties. See West Virginia Code 22A-4-1
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Limestone: means a sedimentary rock composed mostly of calcium carbonate. See West Virginia Code 22A-4-1
- Sandstone: means a compacted or cemented sediment composed chiefly of quartz grains. See West Virginia Code 22A-4-1
- State: when applied to a part of the United States and not restricted by the context, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" also include the said district and territories. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
