Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 181.1030

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • in writing: includes any representation of words, letters, symbols or figures. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
  • Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01

The articles of incorporation may require an amendment to the articles of incorporation or bylaws to be approved in writing by a specified person other than the board. Such an article provision may only be amended with the approval in writing of the person.
