Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 36.55

  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed; "year" alone means "year of our Lord". See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01

By September 1 of each even-numbered year, the president shall submit a report to the chief clerk of each house for distribution to the legislature under s. 13.172 (2) that contains a description of each employment harassment or discrimination claim filed against the board or an employee of the board and resolved in favor of the claimant, the amount of any settlement paid to or judgment entered for the claimant and a description of any discipline of board employees resulting from the resolution of the claim.
