When a report filed by a public service company under subsection (a) of § 16-27 or an annual report filed by a community antenna television company under subsection (b) of said section seems to the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority defective or erroneous, the authority may notify the company making the same and require the amendment of such report within fifteen days from the time of giving such notice, under the same penalty as is provided for refusing or neglecting to make such report; and the authority may examine the officers, agents, employees, books, records, accounts, vouchers, plant and equipment of such company and may correct such items in such report as, upon such examination, the authority may find ought to be corrected.

Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 16-28

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Authority: means the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and "department" means the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. See Connecticut General Statutes 16-1
  • Community antenna television company: includes every person owning, leasing, maintaining, operating, managing or controlling a community antenna television system, in, under or over any public street or highway, for the purpose of providing community antenna television service for hire and shall include any municipality which owns or operates one or more plants for the manufacture or distribution of electricity pursuant to §. See Connecticut General Statutes 16-1
  • Public service company: includes electric distribution, gas, telephone, pipeline, sewage, water and community antenna television companies and holders of a certificate of cable franchise authority, owning, leasing, maintaining, operating, managing or controlling plants or parts of plants or equipment, but shall not include towns, cities, boroughs, any municipal corporation or department thereof, whether separately incorporated or not, a private power producer, as defined in §.
