Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 23-65

  • committee: means the legislative advisory committee. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 23-62
  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

The members of the committee shall be appointed for three-year terms, and shall serve until a successor is appointed. Vacancies shall be filled for the remainder of any unexpired term in the same manner as original appointments.
