Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 431:26-110

  • Person: means an individual, a corporation, a partnership, an association, a joint venture, a joint stock company, a trust, an unincorporated organization, any similar entity, or any combination of the foregoing. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 431:26-101
  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

If any provision of this article or the application of any provision to a person or circumstance shall be held invalid, the remainder of this article and the application of the provision to a person or circumstance, other than those to which it is held invalid, shall not be affected.
