Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 215 ILCS 5/511.113
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Nothing in this Article shall be construed to permit any person or entity to receive, or collect charges, contributions or premiums for, or adjust or settle claims in connection with any type of life or accident or health benefit unless such person or entity is authorized through the insurance laws of a state or the ERISA of 1974, 29 USC par. 1001 et seq. as amended, to provide such benefits.
