  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
     The Commission shall have the power and jurisdiction to, and shall, enforce compliance with this Act on complaint made by the electric supplier or customer or prospective customer aggrieved by any non-compliance with this Act and shall make such orders and take such action by appropriate court proceedings or otherwise which will secure compliance with this Act.
