Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 425 ILCS 40/8

  • Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     All employees of the Department, including all forest fire wardens, and all law enforcement officers in the State of Illinois, shall arrest any person who violates any provision of this Act, any administrative order issued pursuant to this Act or any other law of this State designed to prevent and suppress forest fires and shall bring such person forthwith before a judge of the circuit court, who shall proceed without unreasonable delay to hear and determine the matter as in other cases of misdemeanor.
