  • bank: means a financial institution:

  • deposits: means the sum of the total demand deposits and total time and savings deposits of a particular bank as shown in its most recently filed consolidated report of condition in the possession of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or other supervising agency.   • Federal Reserve System: The central bank of the United States. The Fed, as it is commonly called, regulates the U.S. monetary and financial system.
