Terms Used In Iowa Code 252D.18C
- Court: shall mean and include any court upon which jurisdiction has been conferred to determine the liability of persons for the support of dependents. See Iowa Code 252A.2
- Income: means all of the following:a. See Iowa Code 252D.16
- month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" and the abbreviation "A. See Iowa Code 4.1
Child support services or the district court may enter an ex parte order for income withholding when the obligor is paid by a lump sum income source. When a sole payment is made or payment occurs at two-month or greater intervals, the withholding order may include all current and delinquent support due through the current month, but shall not exceed the amounts specified in 15 U.S.C. § 1673(b).
