Terms Used In Iowa Code 515.145

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
  • Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
  • year: means twelve consecutive months. See Iowa Code 4.1
515.145 Revocation of authority.
If upon any examination, or upon information obtained from any witness produced or examined, the commissioner determines that a company has violated § 515.140, or if any officer, agent, or employee fails to appear or submit to examination after receiving a subpoena, the commissioner shall promptly issue an order revoking the authority of the company to transact business within this state, and the company shall not be permitted to do the business of insurance in this state for one year.
