Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 66-538

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The provisions of this act are hereby declared to be severable. If any provision of this act shall be found by the decision of a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such decision shall not affect the validity of any other provision of this act.
