Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-3152

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The salary of the secretary of health and environment shall be governed by the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 75-5601 and said secretary shall hold no other office or position in any other department of the state for which said secretary may receive compensation except that, said secretary may receive compensation, for services rendered, from any institution under the jurisdiction of the state board of regents.
