Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 13:3046

  • Clerk of court: An officer appointed by the court to work with the chief judge in overseeing the court's administration, especially to assist in managing the flow of cases through the court and to maintain court records.

The selection of a new general venire, the revising and supplementing of a general venire, and the functions of the jury commission and of the clerk of court in connection therewith, are governed by the Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure.
