Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 17:67.2.1

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

In the event that the establishment of the Southeast Baton Rouge Community School District results in the elimination of one or more positions of current members of the Louisiana School Employees’ Retirement System through privatizing, outsourcing, contracting the service with a private employer, or any other means, the Southeast Baton Rouge Community School District shall remit that portion of the unfunded accrued liability attributable to that position or positions pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 11:1195.2.
