- Attorney general: means the attorney general for the state of Louisiana. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:1931.1
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
§1931.8. Deposit of monies collected

All monies collected pursuant to this Part shall be dedicated to and deposited into the Insurance Fraud Investigation Fund pursuant to La. Rev. Stat. 40:1428(C). Forty percent of the monies deposited into the fund pursuant to this Part shall be allocated from the fund to the attorney general‘s office for purposes as provided by law.
