Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:490
- Commissioner: means the commissioner of insurance of Louisiana or the commissioner, director, or superintendent of insurance in any other state. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:482
- Purchasing group: means any group domiciled in any state which:
(a) Has as one of its purposes the purchase of liability insurance on a group basis. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 22:482
Upon registration with the department, each risk purchasing group shall pay the department the fee specified in La. Rev. Stat. 22:821(B)(18)(a). Such registration shall expire on the first day of March of each year, unless renewed, and shall be renewed by filing an annual report on a form prescribed by the commissioner and paying the renewal fee specified in La. Rev. Stat. 22:821(B)(18)(b) to the department.
