Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 30:932
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Public law: A public bill or joint resolution that has passed both chambers and been enacted into law. Public laws have general applicability nationwide.
The commissioner shall have the right to grant variances to the requirements of this Chapter and the regulations issued pursuant to this Chapter in the issuance of any permit pursuant to this Chapter, or, upon application of a permittee, to amend an issued permit to allow such a variance, when such variances are permitted by an amendment to Public Law 95-871 subsequent to the enactment of this Chapter.
