As used in this act:
  (a) “County juvenile agency” means that term as defined in section 2 of the county juvenile agency act.

Terms Used In Michigan Laws 400.1302

  • County juvenile agency: means that term as defined in section 2 of the county juvenile agency act. See Michigan Laws 400.1302
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Juvenile: means an individual within the court's jurisdiction under section 2(a)(1) of chapter XIIA of 1939 PA 288, MCL 712A. See Michigan Laws 400.1302
  (b) “Department” means the family independence agency.
  (c) “Juvenile” means an individual within the court’s jurisdiction under section 2(a)(1) of chapter XIIA of 1939 PA 288, MCL 712A.2.
