  • Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Property: includes real and personal property. See Missouri Laws 1.020

The sheriff shall, subject to the provisions of section 141.130, execute to the purchasers of real estate under this law a deed for the property sold which shall be acknowledged before the circuit court of the county, as in ordinary cases, and which shall convey a title in fee to such purchaser of the real estate therein named, and shall be prima facie evidence of title, and that the matters and things therein stated are true.
