- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
Towns may make bylaws providing for the adoption of the model code, promulgated by the state fire marshal pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 153:14, IV, relative to the installation and operation of solid fuel heating appliances and, further, to provide for the inspection of such appliances. A reasonable fee may be charged for such inspection to the owner of the property where such appliance is installed.
