If the commission [secretary of state] fails to approve any articles of organization, articles of amendment, articles of merger or consolidation or articles of dissolution or any other document required or permitted by the Limited Liability Company Act to be approved by the commission [secretary of state] before it is filed in its office, it shall, within fifteen working days after the delivery thereof to it, give written notice of its disapproval to the person delivering the same, specifying the reasons therefor. From the disapproval, the person may appeal to the district court pursuant to the provisions of Section 39-3-1.1 N.M. Stat. Ann..

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
