§ 23-2723. Severability.

  • Person: means any individual, public or private corporation, political subdivision, government agency, department or bureau of the state, municipality, industry, partnership, association, firm, trust, estate or any other legal entity whatsoever. See N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law 23-2705
  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

The provisions of this title shall be severable and if any phrase, clause, sentence or provision of this title, or the applicability thereof to any person or circumstance shall be held invalid, the remainder of this title and the application thereof shall not be affected thereby.
