(Contingent expiration date – See note) There is established in the state treasury a special fund to be known as the fire prevention and public safety fund. The fund consists of all moneys recovered as penalties under section 18-13-05. The moneys must be deposited to the credit of the fund and must be made available to the state fire marshal to support fire safety and prevention programs upon legislative appropriation.
