Chapter 2112 of the Revised Code may be cited as the Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act.

Terms Used In Ohio Code 2112.011

  • Adult: means an individual who is eighteen years of age or older. See Ohio Code 2112.01
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
