As used in this part, unless the context requires otherwise:

(1) “Agricultural products” means any product of agriculture which is tested for moisture content when offered for sale, processing, or storage;

  • Agricultural products: means any product of agriculture which is tested for moisture content when offered for sale, processing, or storage. See Tennessee Code 47-26-701
  • Agriculture: means :
    (i) The land, buildings and machinery used in the commercial production of farm products and nursery stock. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of agriculture. See Tennessee Code 47-26-701
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Department: means the Tennessee department of agriculture. See Tennessee Code 47-26-701
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • Person: means any individual, corporation, partnership, cooperative association, or two (2) or more persons having a joint or common interest in the same venture. See Tennessee Code 47-26-701
(2) “Commissioner” means the commissioner of agriculture;
(3) “Department” means the Tennessee department of agriculture;
(4) “Moisture-measuring devices” means any device or instrument used by any person in proving or ascertaining the moisture content of agricultural products; and
(5) “Person” means any individual, corporation, partnership, cooperative association, or two (2) or more persons having a joint or common interest in the same venture.
