- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Summons: Another word for subpoena used by the criminal justice system.
A peace officer who summons a person to assist the peace officer in performing any duty shall, if the person refuses, report the person to the proper district or county attorney for prosecution.
