Terms Used In Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 489 > Subchapter A - General Provisions

Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
United States: includes a department, bureau, or other agency of the United States of America. See Texas Government Code 311.005
