Each county shall, after having received from the faculty Senates in its schools the strategic plans mandated by subsection (13), section five, article five-a of this chapter, develop a county strategic plan to manage the integration of special needs students into the regular classroom and submit said strategic plan to the State Superintendent of Schools prior to October 1, 1995.

Terms Used In West Virginia Code 18-20-3

  • State: when applied to a part of the United States and not restricted by the context, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" also include the said district and territories. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
  • State superintendent: means the state superintendent of free Schools. See West Virginia Code 18-1-1
  • superintendent: means a county superintendent of schools. See West Virginia Code 18-1-1

Counties maintaining special schools, classes, regular class programs, integrated classroom strategic plans and training related to integrated education, basic and specialized health care procedures including the administration of medications, home-teaching or visiting services and receiving or requesting reimbursement from state appropriated funds shall file with the State Superintendent of Schools on forms supplied by his office, applications, annual reports and such other reports as he may require.
