Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 34.15.130

  • Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
  • Tenancy by the entirety: A type of joint tenancy between husband and wife that is recognized in some States. Neither party can sever the joint tenancy relationship; when a spouse dies, the survivor acquires full title to the property.

Joint tenancy, with the exception of interests in personalty and tenancy by the entirety, is abolished. Except as provided in Alaska Stat. § 34.15.110(b) and Alaska Stat. § 34.77.100, persons having an undivided interest in real property are considered tenants in common.
