- Child: means any person:
- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Corrections. See
- Justice: when applied to a person, other than a Justice of the Supreme Court, shall mean a justice of the peace for the county for which he or she is elected or appointed. See
- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
- Restorative justice program: means a program developed and implemented by the Commissioner, consistent with State policy and legislative intent as provided by section 2a of this title. See
§ 910. Restorative Justice Program
This chapter establishes a program of restorative justice for use with offenders required to participate in such a program as a condition of a sentence of probation or as ordered for civil contempt of a child support order under 15 V.S.A. § 603. The Program shall be carried out by community reparative boards under the supervision of the Commissioner, as provided by this chapter. (Added 1999, No. 148 (Adj. Sess.), § 68, eff.
