39-71-911. Obligation to make payments on behalf of fund not independent liability. Except as provided in 39-71-909 and 39-71-920, the obligation imposed by this part on the insurer to make payments on behalf of the fund does not impose an independent liability on the insurer.
Terms Used In Montana Code 39-71-911
- Fund: means the subsequent injury fund in the proprietary fund category. See Montana Code 39-71-901
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
