70-1-201. Original and ultimate title. The original and ultimate right of all property, real and personal, within the jurisdiction of this state and not belonging to the United States is in the people of the state.
Terms Used In Montana Code 70-1-201
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
