(1) A credit union chartered under the laws of this state may be converted to a credit union chartered under the laws of the United States, subject to the approval of the National Credit Union Administration.

- Director: means the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services. See Oregon Statutes 723.001
- National Credit Union Administration: The federal regulatory agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions. (NCUA also administers the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, which insures the deposits of federal credit unions.) Source: OCC

(2) A credit union chartered under the laws of the United States may convert to a credit union chartered under the laws of this state subject to approval of the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services. [1975 c.652 § 72; 1987 c.286 § 12]
