Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 74-32,258
- Board: means the board of education of any school district or the board of trustees of any community college. See Kansas Statutes 74-32,253
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
- State board: means the state board of regents. See Kansas Statutes 74-3275
- State plan: means the plan for adult basic education programs prepared and adopted by the state board in accordance with state and federal law. See Kansas Statutes 74-32,253
In each fiscal year, to the extent that appropriations are available therefor, each board shall be entitled to receive from state funds, an amount to be determined by the state board on the basis of priorities established through the learning needs survey conducted in accordance with the state plan.
