- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
If the recount coordinator determines that a recount petition does not comply with the applicable requirements but is correctable by amendment, the coordinator shall promptly give notice of the submission to each opposing candidate. The notice required by this section is in addition to the notice of approval of a petition required by § 212.032.
