Terms Used In Texas Water Code 62.301
- Commission: means the navigation and canal commission. See Texas Water Code 62.001
- District: means a navigation district operating under the provisions of Article XVI, § 59, of the Texas Constitution. See Texas Water Code 62.001
If a district proposes to annex an adjacent district, the commission of the district proposed to be annexed shall:
(1) conduct the hearing;
(2) order the election;
(3) canvass the returns of the election; and
(4) perform the other duties and procedures provided in Sections 62.292-62.299 of this code.
