(1) The steering committee shall:

- Coordinator: means the state homelessness coordinator appointed under Section

- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Steering committee: means the Utah Homeless Network Steering Committee created in Section
35A-16-206 . See Utah Code 35A-16-102
(1)(a) support connections across continuums of care, local homeless councils, and state and local governments;
(1)(b) coordinate statewide emergency and crisis response in relation to services for individuals experiencing homelessness;
(1)(c) provide training to providers of services for individuals experiencing homelessness, stakeholders, and policymakers;
(1)(d) educate the general public and other interested persons regarding the needs, challenges, and opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness; and
(1)(e) make recommendations to the homelessness council regarding the awarding of funding for the provision of homeless services as described in Subsection 35A-16-203 (1)(d).
(2) The steering committee shall, in consultation with members of the homelessness council, the office, members of local homelessness councils, and the coordinator, develop a funding formula as described in Section 35A-16-211 .
