Terms Used In Alabama Code 16-53-5
- Adjourn: A motion to adjourn a legislative chamber or a committee, if passed, ends that day's session.
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
Seven members of the board of trustees shall constitute a quorum, but a smaller number may adjourn from day to day until a quorum is present.
