Terms Used In Alabama Code 6-6-13

  • Attachment: A procedure by which a person's property is seized to pay judgments levied by the court.
  • property: includes both real and personal property. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
  • Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.

If the award is for the delivery of property or to do or omit to do any particular act, on notice and motion to the court, performance may be enforced by attachment or other appropriate writ.
