Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 09.30.100

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

Alaska Stat. § 09.30.10009.30.180 apply to any foreign judgment that is final and conclusive and enforceable where rendered even though an appeal is pending or it is subject to appeal.
