Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 13.12.575

  • Codicil: An addition, change, or supplement to a will executed with the same formalities required for the will itself.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • Testator: A male person who leaves a will at death.

After a declaration of the validity of a will under Alaska Stat. § 13.12.555, a testator may modify a will by a later will or codicil executed according to the laws of this state or another state, and the will may be revoked or modified under Alaska Stat. § 13.12.507, 13.12.508, or another applicable law.
