- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
It is the policy of the state, under Alaska Stat. § 16.10.500 – 16.10.560, to promote the enhancement of the state’s fisheries by means of grants for organizational and planning purposes to regional associations described in Alaska Stat. § 16.10.510 that have qualified under Alaska Stat. § 16.10.380, and by means of long-term, low interest loans for hatchery planning, construction, and operation and for planning and implementation of enhancement and rehabilitation activities including, but not limited to, lake fertilization and habitat improvement.
