Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 19.30.080

  • municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

An access road constructed under Alaska Stat. § 19.30.06019.30.100 shall be of low standard, not necessarily suitable for all weather use. The state is not under obligation to maintain an access road constructed under Alaska Stat. § 19.30.06019.30.100. If an access road is constructed outside a municipality that has zoning ordinances, the right-of-way width for the road shall be determined by the division of lands and the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. If an access road is constructed within the boundaries of a municipality that has zoning ordinances, the right-of-way width shall conform to the subdivision control ordinances of the municipality. Contracts for the work on an access road are governed by Alaska Stat. Chapter 36.30 (State Procurement Code).
