Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 21.06.230
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
A person aggrieved by an order of the director may appeal the order to the superior court using procedures provided by court rule.
